Back in 1950, you bought a dinette set and it saw you through years of family dinners, late night snacks, sharing coffee and gossip with friends.
Families stayed put, for the most part, and the furniture we bought was meant to last a lifetime. Notes were written underneath, marking the date it was bought.
When it showed signs of wear, it could be reupholstered, updated, made new again!
